Is Radiosurgery Right for You?

Only your physicians can help you with the decision to have Stereotactic Radiosurgery. You’ll begin with an evaluation by a Neurosurgeon or Radiation Oncologist which is scheduled after a referral from your regular physician. Your physician may be asked to send pertinent CT and MRI films, as well as hospital and office records. Once your Neurosurgeon or Radiation Oncologist decides that Radiosurgery is an appropriate option for you, an appointment will be scheduled at Turville Bay MRI & Radiation Oncology Center.

Generally, Radiosurgery is the preferred choice when lesions or tumors are surgically inoperable, when they have recurred or remained after surgery, and when patients are either too weak for surgery or choose not to have a major procedure under general anesthesia.
